I went on zoloft in august . Started to feel ok , still sad but bit better . I ran out of them and stupidly didn't go to dr to get more . I got dizzy , really tired , super cranky ( I snapped at people today - strangers at the train station , never done that before . Oh plus I've had weird intense dreams about my ex . Been feeling so sad and have been crying a lot.

I'm going to the doctor this Saturday morning to get more and see what he says . I know I was dumb for suddenly stopping . I'm missing my ex so much now and I'm feeling like I did on day one .

Just want to know if anyone else ever had this ?

why dont you just buy some over the counter sleeping pills for now?

Yeh, big time!!! A few weeks back I forgot to renew mine and hit rock bottom. Plus the physical side effects can be brutal too. Seriously try and make an emergency appointment or phone and at least get to a prescription because with three days til Sat you could be in for a very rough time

Hi Buttercup,

Yes,I have had these symptoms as well although in my case I stopped taking my anti dep on my own accord..i went cold turkey just felt like I wanted to stop the ones I was on and I was on 100 mg sertraline daily.

I don't recommend anyone to just stop taking them without medical advice and slowly decrease the dosage.I hadhorrible dreams and feeling really low and emotional. So yes what you are feeling is not uncommon at all.

Yes, you are going through withdrawl. Look it up, withdrawal from ssri's is extremely common. That"s why it's very important to not miss taking it and if you go off you need to do it under your dr supervision and gradually.

I would call you dr to have him call in a refill or get a sample from them until you can get your prescription filled.

what you're doing is depriving your body some much-needed hormone or element in your blood chemistry, to a point where your body responds in the negative way it has. Much like how you don't allow your car's oil reserve to go so low or run out that it ****s up the way the engine runs!

a personal observation: Going through times of stress (like ending a relationship) is NOT a good time to try to wean yourself off your meds, because your body is depleted of those needed chemicals from the stress. Think of how you pump your body up with Vitamin C when you feel like your coming down with a cold ... simplistically speaking, ADs do the same with blood chemistry. The link below explains this very precarious balance and why you need to do what you can to correct an imbalance ....

i went through something similar when i was on anti-d's. i stopped taking them as i felt that i was gaining too much weight. after a few weeks i started having flu like symptoms (vomiting, headaches, feverish) and had to have my dr call in an emergency refill.

i agree with the other posters and would suggest that you call your dr now instead of waiting until saturday. otherwise you are going to feel worse.
