Hi guys, I'm new on here and new to LDR's.

We're both from the UK and met at university last year. She was offered an internship in NYC and moved out there almost 7 weeks ago (i know that isn't long compared to some of you). I go out there in 3 weeks but we had our first ever fight last night.

The reason being is every now and then we arrange to skype after work (so I have to stay up until at least 3 or 4am), but then she sometimes goes out with her friends and doesn't tell me until 10-15mins before we were going to chat (like 2am for me). I understand that she needs to do that being alone in a new city and she needs to meet other people and not sit in chatting to me every night but I get so frustrated about being ditched when I've made the effort, and I've never done it to her.

So last night (via txt :o) I said some things I shouldn't have about her not making an effort to make this work, even though I know she is! That obviously really, really pissed her off. Later, I calmed down and we managed to chat when she got home so I apologised as much as I can over skype and we chatted for a bit, we're both missing each other and finding it frustrating not seeing each other.

Usually we would txt each other all day but today she asked me not to. What can I do to help us move passed this and continue looking forward to seeing each other? I don't really want to send her a long email about how sorry I am and how much I love her because it's just not personal. I thought maybe I could send some flowers to her office?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what gesture I could send her?

Thanks.

(oh and what does OS stand for?)

email he a picture of yourself and a song link or what she means to you.

worked like a treat for me.

if you mean SO instead of OS ..it means significant other!

took me a while to figure that out too
