ColettesDream Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Well I'm 15. A few nights ago I went to a show with my friends. One of my friends has a brother who's 13. He's really nice and sweet, and I developed an instant crush. Is the age different too much? Does it matter? I'm not saying we're going to start anything anytime soon, but I've never actually considered dating anyone that much younger. I'm confused. Has anyone else been in a situation like this? How did you deal with it?
january2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I think that crushes are normal during your teenage years. It's a good testing ground to learn how to deal with your feelings when you fall for someone. You don't have to act on your crushes at all, particularly if age and/or circumstances mean that it might be illegal/inappropriate to do so.

How did you deal with it? You're young. It's natural to get crushes. Bear in mind your peers will probably be the primary obstacle. Not sure how it is now, but when I was that young girls who dated younger were looked down on, like they were expected or pushed to go for their age or older. Again though, you're both kids, treat it as a crush and don't get too deep into it all.
