Kage111 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 So I finally went on the date I've been stressing all week about and would you believe it? I didn't piss myself or vomit all over her. In fact we just talked and laughed and had a great time the entire night. And thanks to everyone who told me a movie was a terrible idea for a first date, I am so glad we just had dinner and a nice long walk because we talked so much and I really got to know her... So about halfway through dinner I jokingly tell her that I'm sorry I didn't have much planned for after we ate and she laughed and said that I can make up for it the next time we go out. I should take that as a go ahead for a Date #2, right? I obsess about trying not to appear desperate or needy so I really don't want to text her too soon, but I also don't want to lose this momentum that I feel I have going. I'll probably invite her next time I go out with my friends, but that could be weeks from now. She's also a terrible texter, so if I text her anything like "What's up?" (not that I would text that per se) I can expect a reply in 3-6 business days. And I'm pretty sure you don't call just to chat after only one date... So basically, when is usually considered ideal to bring up the possibility of another date?

Alternatively, if she hadn't said that, at the end of the first date before the goodbye so that you both reiterate your interest and know when you will next see each other -that way, insecurity or confusion are minimised. Think about plans for the next date, check your schedule for dates and times, then call her and ask her if she's free. Do this within the next 24 hours.
whichwayisup Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Call her tomorrow. Just go for it! Ask her what she wants to do, if there's anything in particular she's into (shooting pool, or going for another long walk after dinner, etc)..
