perfectlyflawed459 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I am just curious. Lately I have realized that I love to sing and after I sing my heart out, it makes me feel so much better about the situation between me and my ex. It really helps me stay positive and I have been happier I intend to take voice lessons and work at polishing my voice, since I really like it. So what does everyone else do?
january2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I went on daytrips, volunteered, joined Meetup.com groups, watched musicals and plays, went to concerts, volunteered, explored my neighbourhood, took up exercise, purged my belongings, cleaned, listened to music, watched movies, talked to friends and family, changed my eating habits, revamped my wardrobe, makeup and hair, read books, wrote all kinds of things, made lists, made plans, posted on here.
Author perfectlyflawed459 Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 I was thinking of changing up my hair too! Like getting some highlights or something Idk I was so heartbroken last weekend when we decided to stop seeing each other, but now I feel okay! Who knew coping could be so...fun? I just feel so positive about everything, I already feel like I am moving towards becoming a better person from this. I dunno it just feels good and I can't help but smile
BlindRage Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 With a bottle of scotch and a toilet near by for when my stomach puts out.
Sweety90 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 After i broke up with my bf...i got my nose pierced..started university and cut my hair by a lot...like 5 inches...and apparently it looks pretty hot...soo i guess change but still doesnt change the heartbroken feeling...for thatt i think music is the best..although when i hear songs that my ex and i used to love to sing a long too i get rlly sad..so just avoid those types...good upbeat music rlly helpss..

I had so much fun filling up my time and trying different things.

Thieves Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 So what does everyone else do? Music, definitely. And I agree about singing. I wouldn't be surprised if the neighbors have it out for me now and my amazing echo-y bathroom, even if they didn't mind at first. "Get THIEVES. PLEASE." I can imagine it now. Also wardrobe changes. Not huge ones, but a little retail therapy always brings a warm feeling to my heart. What else? Getting back into writing, since I've always loved to. I'm finally starting to work on my first novel, which is huge for me. I might take a few creative writing classes at a local college whenever I have the time. Reading good books, learning to cook new types of food, making new friends. But, hm... yeah... mostly music. Going to concerts (recently went to an Incubus one, looking forward to a Red Hot Chili Peppers one), writing music, playing guitar, etc.
Thieves Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Oh, and... spontaneous dancing, at the most unspontaneous moments. It's true, dancing really is good for the soul. Especially at work when no customers are watching.
