Me and my (friend)girl are going to the movies. THis is first time for me ever.

I dont even know how to buy tickets or what...

i've never gone to the movie theatre.

And how do you enter the movie theatre?

Well anyways, is this a good sign that she agreed to go with me to the movies? This is how it came about: We've been going out and meeting and studying together(well i teach her/help her), and go shopping etc together.

And now she even calls me sometimes when she wants to meet. Anyways we decided yesterday to go to the movies next week after last week i said "mmmmm.....let's go to the movies!!"

So it feels like we're closer now. Much bet ter friends now.

I'm happyyyyyyy

You have never been to the movies?

Or you have never been to the movies with a girl?

Make sure you have at least 50.00 dollars on you. If you go at night the tickets may be 11.00 each and you need extra dollars for pop corn and candy. If you go to the afternoon show it may be 8.00 dollars.

You walk to the ticket office and tell the employee you want two tickets for whatever show. The seats are not reserved so get there early.

When you sit down to see the movie make sure you hold her hand. Picked a very scary movie so she has a need to grab you for comfort. At that moment lock your lips on her.

Are you for real? Somehow I find it hard to believe you've never been to the movies before.

quietG, congratulations. Things are looking up for you. Relax and don't stress and you'll be OK. Obviously she is comfortable with you or she wouldn't go. So, don't over-think things and create unnecessary pressures. I suggested this before but I think I should again. If you haven't held hands yet, present your arm to her. If she takes it, wait a few and then see if she'll follow your arm down to holding hands. If she doesn't take your arm, don't fall apart. Just smile it off and go to the movie and enjoy.

He is well versed in physics and mathematics, but needs guidance regarding women. Way to go!! The latter is way easier than the former.:laugh::laugh:

I concede, but with a dash of cayenneeee...

He needs guidance (particularly professional help) regarding women and beyond.

Once you lose your innocence you cannot get it back no matter how hard you try. I envy OP in that regard.

Being a veteran is not always fun. And seeing a movie for the first time with his sweetheart is priceless.;);)

Have you even been to a restaurant? That may be challenging for you.

Dinner after the movie is a great idea, unless you eat so much popcorn that you aren't hungry. In that case, go for ice cream.

Q_G, I know that you are broke and unemployed, but do a 'dating' thing and PAY for the girl's ticket. Insist. If she tries to pay regardless, then tell her that she can pay next time if she feels that strongly.

If you want to move this from a purely friendship thing, then you need to act like it's a date. Pay. Open the door for her, and as Frisky says, offer her your arm and then work on to holding hands. Movies are nice, because you can put your arm on the back of her seat, and then move it onto her shoulders. Take notice if she nestles towards you, or if she moves directly AWAY from you or stiffens; she will very likely give you body signals about how she feels about your advances.

Have fun. Do not worry too much. Remember to laugh. Wear some aftershave or cologne, too, but not too much!
