Leegh Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 About six months ago a new guy sent me a card in U.S. mail, (at that time he didn't have my email address) which included his business card and said we should get together soon and that he would call me. He never called. A month ago I ran into him at a mall, and he asked me out; we went out that night and had a wonderful time. A week later he sent me an email and said he was busy with work but would call me that week. He never called. I had not been in contact with him since the date and in addition I have not responded to his email. Is he trying to blow me off, or is he hoping for a reply email from me such as "Let me know when you have free time" to give him the green light to call. I am totally confused. Should I be in contact with him, or just drop it. When guys send emails saying THEY will call, are they hoping that the girl will call him instead? Would a guy call a girl when he got no response from his email, even though he was the one who said he will call?
FitChick Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I'd either ignore it or send a quick reply, with his email attached, saying, "Sounds good! Let me know when you are available and I will check my schedule."
vsmini Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 He said he would call you. He hasn't. Even if he was busy, if he was really into you, he would call you or make the time to do so. He doesn't sound that interested in keeping up with communication. It might not be you but right now it's possible that his job is his priority.

This^^ If he really wanted to get to know you, he would call when he said he would.
