Last time I cried properly (tears, uncontrollable sobbing and shakes) was 14 years ago after my first girlfriend left me and started shagging my friend and house mate. Then things got pretty awful after that. Have cried in the past year or so, but not as freely as that. I lost my mojo.

in the proper situation i don't consider it "weak" for a man to weep

What exactly are the "proper" situations you're referring to?

death, destruction, disease, et al...

One should cry whenever they deem it necessary to do so.

Doing so, outside of the certain circumstances does not make someone "weak".

interestingly enough i find that i can be the most emotional guy and can cry easily. there is nothing that does not touch my heart i.e. movies, puppies, kittens, music, having your heart ripped out of your chest and stomped on by the person you thought the most of in the world and would have done anything for. i guess it's the last one that has brought me to my knees literally. oh and one last thing, be careful about crying in the car. i almost drove off a rather large mountain...................

well if a dude is turned down by some chick for a date he probably should not turn on the water works

If that happened I'd say the guy was probably emotionally unstable.

Sexual tension much? Actually, I almost wrote 'sensual'. Which would've just been... weird as hell.

A Freudian slip perhaps?

Yeah I could use a good cry, the kind that comes out of the other head.

Well this at least made me laugh. Not cry though. :)

That’s good ha!

God , I must be either slow or naive for not knowing what he meant with that. Haha.

It’s probably a good thing if you don’t know what I mean.

Thanks for making me laugh!

You're so romantic. :o

I cried during “The Notebook.” That makes me romantic right.

I’m a pervert so I have to just keep on believing that’s what women love.

Also you chose the embarrassed emoticon and I love making girls blush.

I'm a female and I didn't even cry during that movie. There must be something wrong with me? Now, "Pride & Prejudice." I cried during that. That is a real lady's movie.

I also admire perverts. They're... brave.

And oh, Dusty. It'd take a whole lot more to make me blush. But good attempt.

I read the comic book version of pride and prejudice with zombies. Did not cry!

Not a single tear? Well, it's official then. You're a human iceberg.

Iceberg! Made me think of Titanic. I cried during that and then the first time I heard that damn Celine Deon song on the radio after that I think I teared up a little.

Ugh. Titanic. Dusty, I thought you were better than this. What happened to liking full-on guy movies? Like... like, I dunno, that one movie Scarface. Or Sixteen Candles.

It's spelled "Dion" by the way. Just saying.

Ah.. Clint Eastwood. Possibly the most badass man/actor on the planet besides Mr. Al Pacino himself? Yes?

Actually, I shouldn't even be asking this. Thanks for forcing me to go completely off topic. Be ashamed.

I’ll help you bring it back on topic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Clint Eastwood cry. I’ve definetly seen Al Pacino cry in many movies including The God Father.

Whether you've seen them cry or not, they both look good doing it. Well, Pacino does... did? Also, would it be weird if I admit I cried during a children's movie?

I cried durring Dragon Ball Z so I doubt it's weirder then that.

Haha! No, it's probably not that weird. It was during the movie Where the Wild Things Are. The children's book used to make me cry when I was younger. So maybe I'm not a cold-hearted woman after all. :lmao:

It would really depend on how much the said person cried, or in the manner they did so. Crying uncontrollably is seen as weak because it shows a lack of control over ones self.

No I'm not afraid to cry, at least when I'm home by myself and nobody is around.

I've done it a couple of times today. Though it's not about a break up, I wish, that would be much better.
