kj4412 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 So me and my ex broke up 7 months ago after a 2 year relationship. she broke up with me, it was a random breakup, and she now has started college. She has a new boyfriend but has to keep a secret from her mom (mom doesn't like him). Her mom still talks to me as well as the brothers. So we have a similar group of friends and one of their birthdays is this Friday. I haven't talk to her since our break up. I do still have feelings for her but i know not to go back to that. So what do you guys suggest? And what kind of interactions are appropriate to her?

If it doesn't bother you then go and don't get all emo in front of her, and just make it like the time of your life. If she is there with her guy just be nice and don't get to chatty.

You said that her new beau won't be there and that all of your friends will be there and that you will be able to have the time of your life - so if you want to go, then go and have fun! Just don't kid yourself into thinking something is going to happen. Just go with an open mind that you are there to have fun - nothing more. Have a great time.
