Indira1987 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Hello guys! I'm considering going back to the city my ex lives (with his new girlfriend)... This city is about 16000 km away from my home and it would only be for 3-4 month BUT I'm not sure if that would be right and if I'm ready for that. It's not the biggest city, not every one knows each other but we would probably meet coincidentally. I'm gonna write some pro's and contra's down and it would be nice if you evaluate them Pro's: i need to do an internship for my degree and there I know the company, my boss there is also a good friend of mine, I get paid well (at the moment I also have a little financial problem), I like the work there, it is difficult to get a well paid internship where I'm now, I'd live near the beach, sun shines , I like the city, I have another good friend there, .... Contra's: I've had the best and also the worst time of my life there, so the city itself is not an unwritten thing for me, it's full of memories, my ex is there, I'm afraid of being lonely there in case I feel bad but on the other hand I don't have anyone to talk to here (I mean a really good friend) either here or somewhere else in this world at the moment, ... when I started the thread I was more on the contra side but now when I wrote it down I'm more on the pro again. what should I do? I really don't know... Am I lying to myself if I say this plan isn't actually a plan to get closer to my ex again..? maybe I'm just chasing the happiness!? I've been soooooo happy there. Mainly it was because of my ex but also about friends I found, mentality of the people, work, nature, the city, beach,...! In the end it changed totally, my friends went back home (international students), relationship ended, winter began, ... I never had a "neutral" time there. I can't really decide unemotionally about it. Let me know what you think please or maybe someone was in a similar situation once!?
