samphs Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 My ex and I broke up 2 weeks ago, I moved out a week ago (2 yr relationship). I went NC for like a week then had t contact him about my cat since he had him and my dad was taking the cat today. I tried to look cheerful and everything, I did falter and told him I missed him, he said he missed me too. I'm going back NC for a while but still have some stuff I need to take from his house, I know the reason we broke up was my anxiety and clinginess but we got along so well when I wasn't anxious, I saw a message to his sister and he told her that he still loved me but was drained and couldn't go on with me. I'm working on being myself again but its so hard, I miss him so much. I don't know what to do now, all I want to do is talk to him....
Dark Phoenix Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 have a mutual friend get the rest of your belongings for you so you can stay in NC. The longer you stay in NC the easier it will get. For most people getting up to and past the 3 week NC mark is extremely hard but it gets much easier after you hit that mark. The breakup is still fresh, use this time to work on yourself and do things that make YOU happy.

Areas for compromise The reason I say that is that if he misses you too but can't take the draining feeling is that time apar can give both of you time to evaluate your roles in the relationship and what it would 'need' to make it work. NC is well advised in the meantime as well is focusing on your own self. Much love, Zabs xx;)
