Oh those terrible triggers!

Hello,

 

I'm sure must of us dumpees here see/experience things,,, triggers that make us have flashbacks to our "good times" with our exs.

 

Today, tonight is one of those days for me.

 

A wedding going on across the street:

 

We went to a wedding several months ago and she said to me later,,, that's how I want our wedding to be.

 

The cooler weather here has arrived:

 

We used to walk around the block at nights holding hands,, snuggeling to stay warm, making love by the fireplace. Now their doing that!

 

She has an unusual first name:

 

Two T.V. commercials, movies today,, there was her name.

 

Her ex. boyfriends name who she dumped me for:

 

I must of heard that same damn name 100 times today from listening to the radio, TV shows, out and about etc.

 

I'm sure I'm not alone,,, guess it's part of the healing process! Regardless I'm having a bad night even though I'm approx. 40 days in N.C.,, two months into being dumped.

Hey, it'll get better. I still get those, 5 months after the fact and absolutely zero contact from her in almost 5 months. I've accepted there is nothing I can do about it. These things just happen and it's just life, though I know they won't last forever. There is pretty much everything that will remind us of some moment and memory.

 

You know what I try to do? Think of the bad moments as soon as one of those triggers hits me like a sack of potatoes.

Yes those deadly triggers, I was just thinking of my ex, picturing her face. She is really beautiful and hot, perfect body, great smile. I know dozens of guys are hitting on her daily and she will pick from the lot. While forgetting about me, it sucks to think about it. But I won't let it break my NC. ugh
