lance.dark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I asked a good friend of mine out last night. Her first reaction was that it was a joke, I guess because I am kind of in a relationship (it's open and she's abroad). I know, I know. Probably bad news. But I know what I'm getting in to. I'm willing to risk the friendship. Does anyone have any advice on how to make this transition? She is incredibly inexperienced - this would be her first actual date as a third year in college. What worries me is that she will be unable to view it as anything other than friends hanging out. I am debating taking her to a haunted house since she enjoys horror movies, but that's also closer to the friend "zone" of activities. Dinner is so cliche for a first date but maybe it wouldn't be since she hasn't done that before. Then again I've eaten dinner with her enough times before that it might seem too similar. Any thoughts?
