Hey guys, so here's the situation.

I met a girl who I really hit it off with. She had a boyfriend so I refrained from talking to her at all(I wouldn't want my girlfriend talking to someone who I clearly hit it off with so I won't do that to anyone either). They broke up 4 months after. We then started talking and seeing each other almost immediately after; talking daily for hours, dates when she was home(attends school 4 hours away). No sex but really intimate and passionate kissing(just felt that way).

Found out through a friend she wasn't looking for anything serious and just wanted a fling for the summer when she came back home for the 4 months. I however am a relationship guy and she knew that, so talking became less frequent.

I then heard she was seeing a guy and when I asked her to hang out to talk she said she was busy(she was with the guy). I stopped contact and so did she for the entire summer.

Last week my best friend was approached by this girl at a party and she wouldn't stop talking about me. He texted me how she said she still likes me and wants to meet back up. She even texted me saying it was true. I agreed to "catch up" when she's home next.

So here is my question:

Should I give this another try? I mean she blew me off once and I feel like I'll come across as desperate if I get back into with her (I'm often considered a "nice guy" who doesn't get that many women(still a virgin) which I'm cool with because I want the person I do it with to mean something to me; in other words far from desperate) I obviously don't know her side of the story too well but maybe she wasn't ready for a full relationship so she wanted to wait? I honestly don't know what to think right now. Am I being too nice in giving her another chance?(not trying to sound conceited with that last one)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
