Okay this might be long.

I might this girl when I went overseas to study abroad for a month. She was in the group, and she would constantly try and get my attention and talk to me. I was in a relationship with a girl, we had been dating for a year, and she was in a newer relationship, but she kept flirting with me and trying to get to know me. One night we were in her dorm room drinking and she made a pass on. I couldn't tell if she was drunk or not, but I had kind of sense chemistry.

When we got back, she posted the pictures from her trip and tagged me to them. My girlfriend freaked out, but I tried to cover up the situation since I had feelings for her, and I knew she had waited for me the entire month. The arguments kept going with the girlfriend, so I just ended the relationship (we fought a lot before this had happened). I really liked the girl I had met, and she kept texting me, so I was kind of hoping things would progress there. She constantly texted me, she made time to spend with me on campus, and she sent me pictures of herself while she went to Key West. But she never ended it with her boyfriend. I couldn't tell if she was just leading me on, but she was touching me often. Nothing seemed to progress though, so a few months later I started hanging out with my ex a lot, and a lot of feelings started returning. After her grandfather passed I made much more of an effort to talk to my ex and to spend time (which I hadn't done for months). We started dating again, but this girl never left the picture. She still tried to make plans with, typically alone, and she still texted me often (like 2 days a week). A few months later my girlfriend and I started having problems again, she had asked that I not talk to this girl and I told her I would remove her from everything, which I did, but two weeks into that this girl wrote to me. My girlfriend and I broke up a second time, and I re-added this girl into my life. I told her I still had feelings for my ex, and she told me to get back with me. Which was confusing to me.

My girlfriend and I seemed to have never gotten back what we had had before this whole incident, and it seemed as though she was constantly suspicious. She never asked me to stop talking to the girl, she just asked me to invite her if I was planning to hang out with this girl. I somewhat avoided the girl because I wanted to make it work with my girlfriend, but she kept texting. She ended it with her boyfriend that she was with when I dumped my ex, and now she's dated a few guys. Things were still strained with my girlfriend, and I just couldn't take it anymore. She read some messages I had written to this girl about breaking up with her and she walked out.

Now, to my actual question. This girl has always been on my mind, and now she ended it with her most recent boyfriend. She still texts me all the time, and it's becoming non-stop, but I can't tell if she's just a tease. I mean she made out with another guy in front of me once at a party a while ago, and I'm pretty sure she knew I liked her. She seems to be talking to a lot of guys, but I can't tell if it's different with me. This has been going on for a span of two years.

If you can think with your brain rather than your d**k, read the highlighted sentence above. She is an attention whore. You must see your mates hooked on women like her and laugh to yourself for their being so gullible. This time around you are the one who is being gullible. Do you seriously want a girl who hooks up with guys while she has a boyfriend?

If you want a relationship, focus on your girlfriend and don't let other women distract you. If you want to f**k around then don't have a girlfriend. Don't make girls life misery by fleeting around and create these on/off situations. It's not fair

Honestly, the girl you're describing does sound like a tease. I'm sure she's a nice girl, but to be flirting with you to that extent while you both were dating people doesn't give off the best vibes. If she was really interested, she would have dumped the guys she was with while you were single.

Look at it this way, if you were dating her and she was texting this guy all the time and being a huge flirt, whether on purpose or not, would you really want to stick around?

Your ex girlfriend may have over reacted a little by freaking out, but you have to understand it from her point of view. She constantly saw you talking to this other girl who is clearly flirting with you, which will have hurt her a lot and led her to not trusting you. For your future relationship, make sure you give your girlfriend your undivided attention. Talking to girls is fine, but to that extent isn't fair to your actual girlfriend, no matter what the situation is with the other girl.

Oh man, do you sound like my ex. I think it is pretty terrible that you kept your girlfriend whilst having a secret infatuation for someone else. If you wanted to be with your gf and you knew this was causing all sorts of problems in the relationship you should have just made a decision and stuck to it. You seem as though you strung this poor girl along.

Now to your question. She might be teasing you, she may not be, but what does this say if she ends up dating you? What will make her stick it out with you and not flirt with other guys. As stated above, if she was interested in you she would have left her bf for you, but she didn't, and she told you to get back with your ex. Don't you think if she wanted you she'd have told you then, when you were single?

Emilia: Well I mean, she did that with her boyfriend at the time. Wouldn't she have done that anyway, it was her boyfriend and it's not like we were dating. When she made a pass on me, I am pretty sure she was drunk, but her other actions insinuate that she likes me which is why I am kind of confused.

I did have very intimate feelings towards my girlfriend (ex). I mean she was my first serious girlfriend, the first girl I slept with, and she genuinely cared about me. But there wasn't that instant attraction towards her, it took time. With this other girl it was instant.

Janik: This girl is very christian, so I am also not clear if she is just innocently flirting with me, or if it's serious. I had thought of that, that she wasn't interested in me enough to leave her then bf, but she seemed pretty into him and the relationship. That being said though, she still gave me plenty of attention. I just can't understand why she would do that if she wasn't interested in me. Now we are both single. We hang out often, we text all the time, and she invites me to a lot of things. Could she be taking it seriously this time? A mutual friend told my ex that he saw us together and that he thinks I've been friendzoned, but would a friend go to such extremes for contact?

I know I put a strain on my now ex, but she kept invading my personal space, and it was becoming obnoxious. I tried to refrain some contact with this girl, so I did try, but I didn't feel the need to drop my friend just cause she was jealous. I wasn't going to do anything with this other girl.

confusedandupset: I keep feeling like I might be the exception to the rule, I mean she broke up with her most recent bf a month ago, and it seemed like it could have been provoked bc of me. She didn't seem that interested in the guy anyway, and he seemed to do everything for her.

Makes no difference. She likes attention, christian or not she needs external validation. She is trouble, you could never trust her.

So, there is really no chance she doesn't genuinely like me?

She could genuinely like you. Maybe it's like in the movies where the girl meets this guy tells him everything, treats him like an option and not a priority, and then WHAM suddenly she realizes you are it. But then again this isn't a movie. My ex isn't outside my window with jukebox playing a sad song. If she SUDDENLY realizes she really does like you, she may also SUDDENLY realize she likes another friend who she probably treats the way she does you in the future, or she might SUDDENLY fall in love with a coworker she also throws herself to. The fact is if she really liked you, you two would already be dating, but she hasn't gone that extra mile out to keep you as her BOYFRIEND, so that still sounds like you are her doormat, and not anything more serious.

If she wanted you as a boyfriend she wouldn't let you stay single cause that would let you find someone else, and then she'd lose out the possibility that she's also wanted.
