joeyanna Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Hi all I have a dilemma that I need some advice about! I've met a new guy, I use the term met really loosely as we haven't actually met, in fact, he lives in another country. We just started chatting online one day and found we had an instant connection, it's been a couple of weeks now, it's a lot of fun and we could chat for hours (and in fact, do) but now I'm not sure what to do about it. Any suggestions?
madjac74 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 This is such a common story these days. Do you really like this guy or do you think this may be puppy love? What country is he in? You really need to open up about how you feel towards this guy. You aren't giving us much to go on
oaks Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Any suggestions? Now that you know you can form a connection with someone you've never met, try online dating and stick to people near enough that you really can meet them!

What if she can't meet the same guy near her? There are no guarantees in life that the right person for us will be anywhere near us

I guess it could be puppy love, I'm not sure really, I do know that he makes me smile A LOT! As to opening up about how I really feel, well, it's early days.....I just don't know (sigh)!

I've tried online dating and have come across many people with problems, ie those who think they are ready for a relationship then change their mind or those on who are on the rebound! It's so difficult !

madjac74 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Are you saying that he might be the right person for me? I can't say that! But what if he was? Would distance matter?
Author joeyanna Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 I can't say that! But what if he was? Would distance matter? It would depend on the distance really - but over 4000 miles is quite far! What are your thoughts?

How long does it take an email to get that far? I think if you really like this guy then no obstacles should stop you from being with him. Just my opinion though

How can you be with someone that far away though? (double sigh)
