Is it Deal Breaker: Guy Can Write Ok but can't speak well

This is a question for the women. Because women seem to like guys who commmunicate well.

 

I can write ok and you've seen I write alot in here.

But i can't speak well due to some weird problem i have.

 

So for example, i've been having a female friend recently and when i text her it's great and i write nice messages. But when i talk i sound stupid. Luckly she hasn't given me the boot

 

but other women are not that accepting. In fact most of the times when i see women with guys, the guys are talkative communicators who don't stop talking, especially when i've seen COllege girls with guys.

 

The girl i'm seeing is foreign so she doens't really care that i'm slow in English, in fact she likes it cause she can understand me easier. But this friend is not gonna be my GF/romantic date as she will leave soon. So anyway, in general, what would women think?

I am in a similar situation because I am from the states but I live in another country and I am learning the language still. So when I date a guy they practice their English and I practice the native language here. I find it fun and it is more at ease because normally they do not speak perfect English either. I think it's fun

I don't know if you meant speak well as in articulate and have flow, or speak well as in have good english (its not a second language). As long as his english is good enough to understand my thoughts and what im trying to convey, then im okay.

 

I suppose it doesn't matter whether he speaks well or not, but rather if he SPEAKS. I have dated such introverted men that over a two hour dinner, not ONE word was spoken. Seriously, we sat in silence. That was a dealbreaker for me. If the guy at least tries to give me a piece of his mind, good speech or not, at least i'll get something from him.

 

However its a turn on when a man can carry an intellectual conversation and have it flow. I'm a big sucker for intellects.

It all depends. It doesn't bother me if English is his second language, or if there is a reason he cannot speak English well. You said "some weird problem you have." I am not sure if you seriously have a problem, or you just mean that you not being able to speak English well is an inexplicable problem.

 

Also - what is poor english in your terms? It is stuttering? Is it poor grammar? Is it broken english?

 

Unless it is one of the two reasons I initially listed, then my answer is yes, it is a deal breaker for ME if a man cannot speak english well. Others may not care. It is just my personal taste.

I see lots of online dating profiles of women who say they are looking for someone with "good banter", so it might be an issue for some of those women if you aren't good at firing back a snappy reply.
