PhillyDude Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I haven't bought a membership in 5 or 6 months but yesterday I received a smile and greeting card from this women who was very nice looking. So I said, ok I will pay the $24.99 and get to know her. So once I buy membership and send her a message I get no reply? Only a view and that's it? No reply to my email? Damm how can I be so dumb? LOL, it's ok I can't believe I was so foolish but you live and learn. This experience has made me decide to not pay for anymore dating services the rest of the year.
somedude81 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Which site was it? It could be helpful for others to know so they can completely avoid it.

While it wouldn't surprise me if some places had shills ( i'm sure they do) you might just have found a flake. Same type of thing has happened to me before. I use PoF and there's a "meet me" thing on there. You'll get people on there that supposedly want to meet you but don't answer emails either, and that place is free.
Art_Critic Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Scammed.. How ?.. why not used up that 24.99 and start sending out emails.. it could very well be the best 25 bucks you ever spent if you use it right.

I could have bought some more food with that $25-lol I mean it appeared that this women was so agressive in getting to know me when I had no membership and then all of a sudden, nothing

I was scammed because the person I received a smile from is why I spent the money. I don't see anyone else on the site that is attarctive so basically it's 25 dollars down the toilet

When dealt lemons.. you make lemonade.. Make the most out of it.. look around some more.. maybe change your standards some off the 10 with big knockers and maybe you will find someone.
USMCHokie Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I actually paid money for AFF...oh the shame...
Author PhillyDude Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 I actually paid money for AFF...oh the shame... I never liked that freaky site
Author PhillyDude Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Well.. that wasn't scammed.. you were just being desperate... Own it PD... When dealt lemons.. you make lemonade.. No desperate would have been me responding if only a smile was sent. A smile and a ecard was sent so I was like-"ok, she is pretty and sexy and I will pay for a membership" So you can't say desperate if two messages were sent. Maybe i should have waited for a 3rd message?-lol
Art_Critic Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 PD.. desperate was buying the subscription for ONE person.. You should have bought it because you wanted to find someone to date.. With OLD odds going against you it was bound to not play out well with ONE person.. Live and learn I guess..
quietGuy13 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 So you didn't know many of the pay Dating sites are filled with Nigerians trying to scam people? i always get those.. for example i suddenly get some instant messages from some one and I haven't even met her and it goes on and on about "I'm a girl from Ghana etc etc...." It's easy to know if they're fake but then again maybe not . At least i'm not dumb enough to send them(the scammers) money.
