We sit next to each other in class and she has her legs crossed in her chair and im sitting next to her normally and she would rest her legs on my leg and wouldnt pull away at all but if she did she would put it right back there. So im guessing she likes me and how should i ask her out..we never have talked before we was in this class together. Im just looking for advice and/or suggestions. You can take her somewhere during the day too (lunch, or a museum, if shes a bit of a nerd, are fine ideas)

Well if she has her feet/legs on you then maybe try complimenting the shoes she has on, and say they go nice with her pants/short/socks, what have you. Just an idea.

Dont get attached to her before you are even bf and gf. Ask her to join you for lunch. If she cant, get her number and make arrangements to meet up another time. Assume she is using you for attention so that if she doesnt show up to the date, you wont be dissappointed.

From professor green to you : "I gotta stop being a pussy" and just ask her straight up "hey you want to go grab something to eat or coffee or whatever you fancy. Usually when girls are comfortable enough to put there legs on you without being freaked out it's a big sign. If shes no then just be friends or move on.
