raebot Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 guy 1- ive been with him for almost five years and we broke up a couple months ago. hes a great guy! and i love his family! the first 2 years of our relationship were the hardest, we had issues with his ex. he was lazy, unmotivated, never made the full effort with my friends and family and i felt like i had to be a mom to him. last year i enlisted to the army and proposed to him because i love him so much and i truly believe in him. he declined and wanted to wait, but while i was gone he made the decision that he wanted to and came up with a game plan on money and what he was gonna do in school etc. well i come home injured and he doesnt want it anymore he would rather wait it out. so i ended up having to force him to take 2 classes. he finally got a car and a REAL job. now he feels more motivated and confident. once again i asked him about marriage and he said no. i got fed up and i left him. guy 2- i met him in the military and weve kept in contact. hes the perfect guy the only flaw here is that im more attracted to my ex than him. well he waited for me to get out of that relationship and he has been more than willing with me. hes a real man, responsible, mature, independent and really loves me. when i left guy 1 i was more pushed to do so because of guy 2. hes really good with my family, they love him like a son. although when he gets angry it really creeps me out, im used to yelling, but hes more of the cold shoulder type when hes mad. hes insecure and a bit pessimistic and unlike my ex hes lazy when it comes to himself (cutting his nails, skin care, or treating himself, looking sharp) but with me or work or house related things he is not. so now my ex realizes what he had and how hes messed up and says he will change and he knows what he needs to do to make things work. he wants to marry me and has proposed, of course i could not answer because im currently with with guy 2 now. but on that note guy two has asked my parents for permission to marry me, of which they accepted. ive discussed with my parents and they are for whatever decision i make. im in a pickle. i honestly dont quite know what to do.

Proves my point above. Really its up to you, id probably go with guy 2.
