TxTechGirl04 Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 I just want to say what a wonderful support group this board is...just reading everyone's posts have made it so much easier for me to cope...Its unfortunate that we are getting acquainted under these circumstances, but ya'll have been such a blessing in helping me to cope with my break-up! Thank you! I guess I am feeling a little better today. I just can't quit thinking about him dating someone else...I know the only way for me to heal is to not talk to him...and hopefully havng no contact for a while will help him to see what he has lost :-)...
quankanne Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 I'm glad we could help, Ms. Lubbock I think you'll enjoy just hanging out here, getting and giving advice, and just pretty much expanding your horizons in a safe environment. Hang around long enough, and you get to see what happens after everyone's had a good dose of sugar!!! In the meantime, think about your break-up in these terms: as much as you care(d) about this fella, and as much as the situation can cause your heart to hurt, everytime you open yourself to the experience of love, you learn to give a little more trust, a little more care, a little more love. That, in turn, brings you one step closer to the love you're meant to have. hugs from across the state (Piney woods of ETX), quank
KelBel Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 You know how are you to live with hope if people keep telling you its done he's gone. He says of course you haveto have hope and live with fate. He says he's a strong believer in fate. When dealing with the bills I said "I guess that's it then"...then he replies "common kel don't be that way, you never know". What the heck does taht mean. Does it mean he has doubt whether it's the right thing he did or not. And is only playing a front of toughness because he knows that if he shows any sign of doubt I'll wait for him?
Author TxTechGirl04 Posted May 11, 2004 Author Posted May 11, 2004 Thats EXACTLY it!! He doesn't want to give you any hope, because he doesn't want to feel trapped...my dad and me talked about this today...guys will run as hard as they can if they feel trapped or pressured...KelBel, you seem like you are going through exactly what I am going through. Sometimes I just feel like I don't know what Im doing and like I will never survive. The best thing for you to do is to give it time. I know that YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT, but the worst thing you can do is to try to work it out right now with all of your hurt. NEVER EVER EVER EVER LOSE HOPE!
KelBel Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 I'm wondering if there is someone else? Cause that's the only logical thing that would explain the sudden change in heart. But he said he'd made that mistake once a long time ago and never has since. He said that he just doesn't want to be in a relationship any time soon. I told him that if there was someone else to tell me now cause I'd rather know now, and there is still a possibility in the future or find out later and there be absolutely no possibility.
meanttolive4ever Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 most of the time..theres always someone else in the picture....no matter how much they tell you no.
KelBel Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 You know I really don't feel that there is anyone else. He just doesn't want to be ina relationship he's just got too much going on his plate. And his uncle feel the same way. He's being truely honest and my gut would be able to sense if he was lying to me. I think he's just beinghonest telling that his feelings have changed he doesn't know why but I think with time they'll show whether they really have changed or not. He can't compare the feelings from when we first started dating to today. Obviously the flame burns off more sparks at the start
