MissMoni Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Wow, I don't think I saw myself ever posting in the "Dating" forums when I joined LS 7 or 8 months ago, but it seems after nearly a year of being single, I just might be back in the game... There's a security guard in my building who I always talk to when I see. It started as simply "Hi, how are you," and finally after a while I worked up the courage to ask his name. We started talking more when we would see eachother, still very basic stuff. However, his schedule got changed so now I no longer see him as often -_- The other day, he ended up asking me if he could guess my age and then when he did, he smiled and said "That's the same age as me." I don't know what to make of that, but he kept asking me how my job was going. I was SO nervous I basically ran away! The next day I saw him and said, "This is my lucky week, I keep seeing you" and he smiled and followed me to the elevator and asked what I was doing for the weekend..like an idiot, I said "Hanging out with my friends" then our conversation got interuppted and he said he would see me later..of course, I didn't see him today. My coworker however said he told her last week he saw me and that I said I was hanging out with my friends for the weekend..I don't want to get overly hopeful, but maybe he was trying to ask me out? I definently want to get to know him better, but I can't stop being nervous around him! Everytime I see him I blush/smile like crazy..how can I encourage him without coming on too strong? Slash does it sound like he might be interested...?
thatone Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 you might have to put a little more effort in due to the circumstances. a female customer claiming that a security guard harassed her is pretty much the #1 way for him to get fired, so he probably doesn't make a habit of approaching women at work. of course that doesn't stop you from asking him out...
