SugarLily Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Every girl needs to go rent/buy this movie: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hes-Just-Not-That-Into/dp/B001V7P2KO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316430177&sr=8-1 If you've already seen it - let me know what you think! Love! x x x
Buttercup84 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I have seen it , god it is so true. But what I don't get is the main girl loves Justin Long , he is not interested and suddenly he is ? and he says she is his exception.Kinda goes against everything in the book. I can relate to Gigi a lot though sadly.Who could you relate to most ?
Author SugarLily Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 Oh Buttercup! I always love your replies ! I'm not sure if you got my post - but was wondering if you have an e-mail I could contact you on (if you want to chat!) as I can't private message you on here! I love that film! I think the whole idea of Justin suddenly being interested is kind of the idea that he 'didn't know what he had until it was gone'. Gigi was always present in some way - until he expressed his disinterest. The time they spent NC seems to be when his behaviour indicated to him just how much she meant to him. I haven't read the book - but in the film I think i'm probably most like Scarlett Johanson's character - she falls hard for a man who is entirely selfish. She feels a connection between them she hasn't felt with anyone else. She is infatuated with him. In her heart she hopes that they have a future together, but her head tells her they don't. But she doesn't lose faith until she sees him for what he really is. She then tries to 'move on' and console herself by 'commiting' to a genuinely lovely, kind, dependable man. But she never feels the love she felt for Bradley Cooper's character. x x x

Of course you can its [email protected] That makes me sad , you sound like such a sweet girl who has so much love to give. I know how that feels though , you can meet a total sweetheart like him but just not feel it. I think it is up to us to have our own happy ending. I remember this quote from " The Holiday " : Arthur Abbott: So, he's a schmuck. Iris: As a matter of fact, he is... a huge schmuck. How did you know? " He let you go. This is not a hard one to figure out. Iris, in the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady, but for some reason you are behaving like the best friend. " Maybe we can try and live by it look forward to your email , you are always welcome to write. I will look for that post now , sorry been all over the place xxx
