Met a girl but couldn't really conversate with her too much because for one, she was sitting with a group of friends and 2, because of the poetry readings. I had seen this other guy trying to talk to her before but it didn't really seem like she was giving him too much play (just my observing) Later on, I opened up a little conversation and bought her a glass of wine. At the end of the night, i told her that i didn't really get a chance to talk with her like i wanted and asked if i could get her number. She asked me my name again and how old i was. I played with her but she added about 8 or 9 years to my age! I played with her like my heart was struck. It turns out she's only 3 years younger. But she gave me her number and then i started to leave. Anyway, as i was leaving outside the club, i saw that same guy from earlier trying to talk to her. When i was driving off, the guy was still there, had followed her to her car. It didn't look like they were getting close or anything. It almost looked like he was begging. As for my main question, does the guy who trys to stay with the girl usually the one who ends up with her or the guy who trys to play cool and save it for later (like me). I'm not the type of guy that tries to nail a girl on the first night meeting her but there's a lot of guys who do. I don't really know how to do that without coming off like a hounddog. But It's been my guess that the guys who stay and are "all in their faces" are the ones who end up with the girl. Thoughts please? fetish

It depends what she's looking for I suppose. she may have taken his number too and end up taking a date with you both. I say try not to worry about the other guy and put your best foot forward and try to get her on a date so you can show her why she should be with you, or maybe find out why you don't want to be with her (hopefully not!). So just work with what you got and don't worry too much about any of the other guys. That's my take on it. I couldn't really say if a guy who stays with the girl gets the girl, she could have been annoyed by him following her everywhere, who knows.

I just don't like hounding girls in the beginning because i don't want them thinking they gota bugaboo on their hands. But yeah, you're right, its est not to focus on the other guy. fetish
