singlelife Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I have no problem with you dating who you want to date, but when you do date interacial why is it always the thug? Why not a decent black man with a job that has things going for himself. I see lots of extremely hot women dating thugs so there has to be an attraction. So what is it?
OnyxSnowfall Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Well, I have not dated such men myself, but of the one female I knew of who did... according to her, it's because they were usually: a) extremely passionate in life (especially in bed) b) didn't take peoples **** and went for what they wanted (she didn't care if it was in shady / harmful ways). c) she liked being shown off by them. she also complained about middle aged white men being depressed, coach potatoes who were balding... while "thugs" were still in good shape through their 40's, still had active lives and still loved and sexed with tremendous energy. That's about all the insight I have into it, and it's not even mine =B
Author singlelife Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah but there's lots of nice black men in the world. Are only the thugs exciting?
OnyxSnowfall Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah but there's lots of nice black men in the world. Are only the thugs exciting? I'd venture to guess for her they were...
Stung Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I have dated men of every race, and never once have I been with a thug of any stripe.
Author singlelife Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 Hmmm. I wish someone who has dated them would share what's up.
D-Lish Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 A Thug? Really? It would never happen. Any woman that would be attracted to the dictionary's definition of a Thug would not be a woman worth pursuing.
eatNrM Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah but there's lots of nice black men in the world. Are only the thugs exciting? Are you exciting? I doubt they just go for 'thugs'. But I'm sure most women want to be with a man that they can have fun and goes on adventures with. Slinging crack might be an answer, but I'm sure everything is fine. Just have fun.
D-Lish Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah but there's lots of nice black men in the world. Are only the thugs exciting? Thug = a black dude? News to me,.
omkara Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Thug = a black dude? News to me,. I bet OP thinks every black man who speaks slang is a thug. I'm actually half "black" as well and I can't help but feel a slightly offended by this thread. Why is it that OP is only concerned with white women dating "thugs"?
eatNrM Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Thug = a black dude? News to me,. MrNate approves of this post.
snowflakes88 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Generalizations running wild, I see. Shall I pose the stereotype-based, over-generalizing question of why non-famous black men who date white women go for the overweight trailer park types?
NeoGen85 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I bet OP thinks every black man who speaks slang is a thug. I'm actually half "black" as well and I can't help but feel a slightly offended by this thread. Why is it that OP is only concerned with white women dating "thugs"? The OP is probably a black man who dates white women. And maybe what he wants does not want him. I myself am a black man and I love dating white women(then again I love dating all sorts of women). But I've never attracted white women who've been into black men that come off..."street". I've always attracted Becky's(as some of my friends would call them).
wilsonx Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Simple answer, people are a product of their environment. You are a product of your environment. I am a product of mine.

shayla Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Becky"s? Really? Good lord! Thugs are black? Whew! I am a black woman who loves dating MEN. Let's just leave it at that. There are all kinds of different people and not always defined by race. It makes me so uncomfortable when people make assumptions and generalize about any race.

Same reason you see white guys trying to act "black". They are brainwashed by MTV and the like...and their parents and teachers are doing nothing to offset these negative cultural influences. The so-called hip-hop "music" (that gained popularity thanks largely to MTV) is almost singlehandedly responsible for the degeneracy of today's youth. It's possibly the worst cultural phenomenon to ever afflict the western society.

Either way, I would assume because they go after "bad guys", and depending on where they are from, "bad guys" where they are happen to be thugs. Or maybe they like crack. Why worry about it? Like another poster said, those women are the types to avoid. So personally, I don't give a f*ck what they do with their lives.
Woggle Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Because they don't like their privileged suburban life and want to go on an urban safari. When things get a little too street for them they then cry and act like an innocent victim.
Calutaxi484 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 It's honestly just not white women with black guys. There's plenty of white women (and black women, and asians, and latinas) that date guys with the same general traits. High confidence Confrontational/dominant Concerned with living now/party lifestyle Most women find these traits to be appealing in one way or another. Often women don't go for insecure, needy guys. It's a huge turnoff for most. Dominant (not abusive) is just a man being a man. Most women don't want a mamas boy or a pansy, they want their man to be a man. The last one is probably the biggest variable. Some women are just into that lifestyle, and some aren't. If dude make a lot of money and lives in the now he's going to have nice things, but doesn't care about 5,10,25 years down the line.

DorothyGail Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I'm not attracted to black men but if I were it wouldnt be the "thug" type.
Feelsgoodman Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Pretty sure it's a little more complicated than that.... Not really. Kids tend to emulate the behaviour of their role models. If the "role model" happens to be some gyrating ape man they see on television...dressed in pants that are about 10 sizes too large and wearing 10 pounds worth of gold jewelry....well, then that's what kids will consider "cool" and gravitate towards.
