We were both drunk, but had met a couple times (sober) and got along. But, while we were in bed she said "i love you" about 4 times throughout. I didn't say it back because we're just getting to know each other - but I reassured her that I do like her a lot and would like to continue seeing her. She was definitely more drunk than me. Should I be concerned? Typically that's a red flag - but after the last time she said it she was like "woah, wtf am I saying....I need to sleep" - so I'm leaning towards it just being a sort of passionate thing that was said and not to let it mean anything?

Finch Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 She was very drunk and having sex. Some people get quite happy and loving when they drink and the "I loves you" start to flow. Couple that with (hopefully!! ) good sex, and there you go. Don't take it too seriously.

The guy actually said it back to me though, so I kinda freaked out the next day, worried that he really meant it and was going to keep saying it! Luckily it was just the alcohol for him too though. I DID like him a lot, but I didn't LOVE him. It was def a combination of the alcohol & the closeness of the sex. ConfusedGuy, I think it's pretty weird that you've only met a couple of times & she said it four times during sex.. You don't even really know each other yet! With my guy, we'd at least been dating for several months. I'd let it go, but keep your eyes open for any other weird behavior (whether drunk or not..)
