Some of the men on the dating sites have been on there forever- but with the same pictures from 5 years ago!!

I've only met 2 people I liked from POF in 5 years!

WOW...LOL

I think you got me beat, I think I had met about 2 women a year from online dating in general. IN person.

It's like pulling teeth to even get you to meet face to face as well.

I think you sound bitter that these women whose profiles you've clearly seemed to have memorized (that's kinda bizarre, no?), have not either initiated or reciprocated any interest and it's easier for you to accuse them of having something wrong with them (too negative, too picky, an alleged penchant for what you deem to be lOsers, etc) as opposed to considering that perhaps you're just not all that you think you're cracked up to be?

There are quite a few on there like he described, so its not hard to remember the stereotypical online dating rant that a few women have on their profiles

I cant speak for really any girl who complains about men and dating in their profile, but I know two that do it in real life and they ALWAYS go for the same time of smooth talking player bad boy and then whine and complain and cry after that guy cheats on them or just uses them for sex or just treats them badly

I go through stages where I might meet 3 people a week, or one person every few months!

I think women get as frustrated as men, because all any of us really want is to connect with the right person and you'd think with so many people on these sites that it would be easier than it actually is.

I am sick of the guys that have profile pics with their shirts off, or at a club with their arms around girls that look like strippers. One guy sent me a message and he actually posted a pic of him with his ex and the caption read "me and my ex"... WTF is that guy thinking?:lmao:

irc, I have a feeling if these women are on POF, then they're going through the perpetual cycle where they join, put their sob story on, hope for an alpha male who wants to commit to come along and deal with her long distance and possibly kids...but when she gets to the point that it's been a month or two and the same bland average joes she's not into are the only ones emailing her, she quits and tells her friends how she'll never settle.

I would ignore these women. You can see they won't ever "lower their standards" or "come to reality", but they want some handsome yuppie to pick her and drive out to the small town she lives in as opposed to the bevy of women in his big city...or hope some tall handsome successful guy just happened to want to live in the small town...and yet isn't married.

Men and women both do this. They join, think they're "amazing" deserving of "the best", and then lament when they get no results...but won't listen to any advice on how to improve. People tell them to lose weight, get a better job, be more positive, learn to dress better, move closer to a densely populated area, etc.

They go through this cycle because they want the ideal mate without doing any work to get that mate. They think they don't need to...but they should look at their perpetual singledom and get the message.

I remember when I tried online dating, I would get women with many apparent red flags emailing me who lived four hours away. Why would anyone think I'd want to drive four hours when I live in a major city full of women? IMHO if you move to the little town then you have to deal with the limited dating pool you have...or be ready to be the one to drive long distances and take flights to see these long distant people you want.
