Guys, would you send a girl you went on a date with a text after that you've had a good time, if you didn't like her or see the potential?

Would you do it just to be polite?

Figured I'd post even though I'm not a guy since no one has yet.

I think saying "thanks for a great evening" is just protocol and expected of both parties. It's whether there is an attached "I look forward to doing it again" or call in the next few days that gives you the answers.

Answer is actually "no". If I didn't have a good time and had no interest, I wouldn't text at all. If I had a good time or was trying to decide, I would text.

Basic answer to all these questions is the same: if communication indicates interest, a lack of communication indicates a lack of interest.

Or it was late when I got home and I went straight to bed.

Hell no. I would never leead on anyone I wasn't into. If the date was a drag, just leave it. Maybe it was a drag for the other person too and neither wants to have to make believe it wasn't.

That's what I don't understand. He didn't seem to enjoy the date and it was short but he sent such a text after.

Since there was no indication of a next one, I didn't think he was interested.

sorry. It's tough not knowing and getting mixed messages. Hang in there and I hope it turns out like you want.
