ChelleBelle Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 On a positive note, second chances can work. I know situations where second chances have worked from colleagues at work: All four are factual and true. Second chances can and do work, so read on and take hope. One work colleague, went out with a guy, found out he cheated on her, finished the relationship, dated other guys. Decided to go back packing around the world and by chance met up with her x before she left. He quit his job and went with her., They back packed for 2 years and are now happily married with 2 kids. It is a very strong marriage too. Another work colleague, dated a guy for 2 years when she was a teenager, split up with him as her family did not approve of him. She was devasted as he was her first love. She went on to marry another guy and have a child and the marriage broke down as her husband left her for another woman. By chance met up with her first love in the street, who was also married and divorced at this stage. They went on a date, slept together and moved into together all within 1 month and are now happily married. Another work colleague, was dating a guy, went out with girl friends to a night club, got drunk, met a guy. Had a one night stand and fling with this guy. Never saw him again. Eventually finished with her BF. Bumped into the guy she had a fling with, slept with him again. Went out on a date with him and is now married to the guy she had a fling with and has 4 kids. Also a very strong marriage. Another friend at work, was married, met a guy. Had an affair and eventually left her husband, moved in with the guy she had an affair with and has been with him for over 20 years. Yes, second chances can and do work. Dare, I say it, love will find a way. If it is meant to be it will happen. Would you like to share your positive 'second chance' posts. Sometimes something positive can happen and it is nice to read positive posts as well as negative ones.

Am I missing something here? How is this a second chance? A woman has an affair and leaves her husband for the new guy and she marries the new guy. I believe that would be the complete opposite of a "second chance".

Only if she had met the new guy before she met her husband and it didn't work out, then they somehow met up after she married her husband, had an affair, and then she left to be with the new guy would it qualify as a second chance.
name goeshere Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Only the first two are really second chances. Second chances would have to be in a relationship breakup and then get back together.
