He just got back to town yesterday and asked me out this weekend. I said yes. All is good, but the text messaging has stopped since he got back and asked me out. He only responded with a short note, after I texted him last night. Is this normal? Or is he ready to have a last date and move on? I used to dislike the texts and think it's a waste of time. Now, I am dying to get his texts. How the table has turned!

He's still interested.
SmileFace Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 When he was away he replaced his absence with text messages. Now that he is back you can't expect for him to keep this up. You are going to see him soon and need to realise that. You are being overly needy.

For the sample size of people who have participated in texting for a lifetime is not large enough yet for any accurate conclusions to have been drawn on the matter.
