grkBoy Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Seems like a lot of the gripes, complaints, and issues many have comes off mainly as people asking "why is life unfair?" or "why does life have to be unfair?" So they explore and explore and toss out the idea of the dating world being fair, just, etc. Thinking outside of the box, if you could play God for a day and manipulate the dating world to be fair and just, what would you do? Mind you guys that the women also get to chime in.
collegeguy_24 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 If I were God I would make it so that there would be no cheating. If you wanted to be with someone else, say so, don't play games and don't lead people on only to dump them at the last minute for someone else.
iris219 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I would make it so that I met high quality single men (something that hasn't happened to me in years). I wouldn't make it so that they had to like me. I would just like to be given the opportunity to meet a number of desirable single men. I don't know what it means to have options, and I'd like to find out.
Jynxx Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Wouldn't change anything really. Things become the way they are for a reason, in this case its the sum of huge amounts of people behaving in what they think is the right or best way. Unless you can make alot of people prefer a new concept over an old one, no changes can possibly be done by anyone or anything. And even if I had the power to change peoples preferences or way of thinking I still don't think I would have the right to use that power.
mrgoodcat Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I believe in evolution and not God creating earth in 6 days. Things ARE unfair and unjust. Some people have it great, and some people are miserable. Just do what you can to be the former and hope that luck is on your side.
Sanman Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 It would be difficult to change anything without messing everything up. Even the unjust and unfair have their purpose. I have realized that all of the pain I have gone through in life has allowed the positive parts to have meaning. I would not appreciate my gf as much for being a wonderful person and partner if I had not experienced poor partners and people of lesser character. There truly is use in every experience of life.
OnyxSnowfall Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 It would be difficult to change anything without messing everything up. it's already messed up. don't let something that already exists stop you from TRYING TO BETTER THINGS! besides, yes, as you've noted, there's always something good to point out (in even the most atrocious things!)
