ronaldo9999 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 So I met this girl last couple of months ago (she was dumped by her ex 3 months prior) and we didn't really date, just used to talk a lot and I took her to a movie and dinner once. I did know that she wasn't over her ex, but hated him for playing her (said so herself) and was trying to get over him. I've known her ex (on facebook) for a couple of years, we met at school. Never talked ever before just a hi here and there. Me and the girl decided to not get anything serious cause she wasn't ready and we don't talk anymore (its been about a month) But, since last week her ex has started messaging me on facebook a few times, trying to make casual conversation. This is weird cause we never talked before. He hasn't brought anything up but what could his motives be?

He's could be still nuts about the girl and is trying to "keep you close" or intimidate you from getting involved. I don't know, that's just a guess, you know the situation better than us. I would just throw it out there to him that "hey, we never really spoke much before, how come you hit me up so much all of a sudden?"

But since you never really dated his ex, why are you concerned? Maybe he doesn't realize you never considered what you were doing with her dating--tell him that, maybe he's fishing for what you were doing with her.
