coolheadal Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 So you know already girls and women tend to be attracted to more of Macho Guy then a Nice Guy. They want the Macho Guy to protect them and like Caveman days. But here comes the Nice Guy the type your mother would like you to date. So to me it looks like when your in High School you dated the Macho Guys but now as you get into your 30s you crave for the Nice Guy, that's if your still unmarried or just sitting along on a Friday night watch TV. I consider myself to be a Nice Guy..
Ginger Beer Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Probably in the middle. I'm a metrosexual/macho kind of man. I could be more macho if I really wanted but I'd run the risk of kicking off on random men just to prove my 'macho-ness'.
tb24 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Macho? Ugh, no thanks. I'm comfortable enough with myself to not need such a pretence. If anything I'm the opposite of macho. In some ways I'm a bit girly, but that's never bothered me (Think noel fielding/russell brand rather than camp )

Disenchantedly Yours Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I think nice guys can be very macho..or perhaps you mean "masculine" more then you mean macho?
EasyHeart Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I am definitely a macho, macho man. Sometimes I dress as a construction worker or a policeman, but today I am definitely feeling like . . . an indian chief!!!
GorillaTheater Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 The key to success with women is to have a good mix of alpha and beta traits. And sometimes changing them up randomly to keep your woman guessing what the hell you're going to do next.

Most women want a guy with some excitment inside him. Someone with a backbone but still respects her. And I am sure most guys want a woman with exctiment inside her. Probably less on the backbone but someone that isn't a pushover for sure.

carhill Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I think we need a photo. Myself, I have 'sides'.

OnyxSnowfall Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 The mixture of alpha and beta traits ... Although, I've never been attracted to males who are overtly "macho"... not during high school and not now... Brains of steel for the win though.
Sanman Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 This is a silly thread and typecasts men into two roles. I am a very nice guy and a proud nerd. That doesn't mean I can't bench press 275 lbs or kick your ass. Nice guys don't come in one size or style. They are allowed to dress well, look good, have muscles, and play sports.
AHardDaysNight Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Can't you be both? You don't necessarily have to be a jock to be one. You can be both nerd and jock.
oaks Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Can't you be both? You don't necessarily have to be a jock to be one. You can be both nerd and jock. I was just thinking the same. Macho and Nice Guy aren't necessarily opposite ends of a spectrum and nor are Nerd and Jock. I'm not "somewhere in the middle" but perhaps "a bit of both" and with enough confidence not to care (or need) to put a silly label on my personality.
Author coolheadal Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Nice guys fall under computer scientist, NASA engineers an etc.. Let's face it you are what you are just be proud of it. I can't believe some of you use that Macho Man music video to say that's how your today! Not surprise you didn't use
coffeeaddict Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Can't we be something inbetween? Since when are all men either a Charlie Harper or an Alan Harper?
Elysian Powder Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 The key to success with women is to have a good mix of alpha and beta traits. And sometimes changing them up randomly to keep your woman guessing what the hell you're going to do next. The key to success with women lies in how the man looks, how much masculinity he has, and if he's an hyper masculineness man, even better. Beta traits work if you want to be in a relationship, but why tie yourself down to one woman and provide the resources, when you, as an Alpha male, are in high demand? I've known Ultra Alpha males. They're so high in the scale of male power that they impregnate women, leave them be, and not only the women do not hold any grudge for them; the Alpha/ultra Alpha males are highly respected. Let me tell you that they don't consider their vastly powerful success with women to be demeaning - to themselves or to the women - and they don't mind that some guy(beta) is raising their kids. Some of these guys aren't even paying child-support; the beta male is bearing with all of the costs. Now that's the mark of a true Alpha male. His masculinity is so grandiose, the betas are more than happy to be the work horses. Speaking about myself, my Alpha attributes do land me plenty of women. I would like to be rich so that I could get even more women/more attractive women. I had beta traits which I completely eradicated. Tearing those betahood chains allowed me to increase the quality of my life. True, I ''can't'' connect to women or form a ''real'' relationship, but what's the point of that when can have all of the sex that I want, and I won't have to pay the price that comes from having a relationship/beta male traits. By breaking free frrom that beta crap, I've become invulnerable, truly independent, and my sexual power has taken a new turn, growing to be a well-tuned, pussy whisperer. And guys, you lot by possessing beta male qualities, and putting all of you in a relationship with women(or by being their friends) are giving me the free pass to go to the woman's house, fck her, and never see her again, because you lot are fulfilling her emotional needs. Thank you, very much appreciated . You don't necessarily have to be a jock to be one. You can be both nerd and jock. Why aren't you a jock, then?

The nice guy is typically synonymous with a doormat and is incapable of expressing his sexuality to women that catch his interest. The ideal man combines the best of both worlds: confident without being arrogant, gentlemanly without being spineless, successful without being bland, etc.

Don't know where you getting that about nice guys.

The ideal man combines the best of both worlds: confident without being arrogant, gentlemanly without being spineless, successful without being bland, etc. I agree with this most. I'm a combination of the two, but leaning more on the side of macho with my tattoos, baldhead, and serious eyes. But hey, I get good looks from women all the time, especially when I'm just laid back, and carefree. This has to be natural, though. If you pretend, you'll come off as trying too hard, which is a turn-off to the opposite sex. The beta male will often struggle with women and many other facets in life. Alpha is the way to go but you got to hold on to your gentler side as well. Notice I didn't flame a woman in this thread .
