HeartOnSleeve Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Anyone have any success with a commitment phobic guy or girl? I think I have finally hit the nail on the head with this guy and it comes down to two words COMMITMENT PHOBE. I really like him, but I can't wait around for him to have a break through. Every time I think we are moving forward he pulls back the reins.
Nexus One Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I have to give it to you HeartOnSleeve, you're pretty dedicated in making this work. I hope the guy is worth it.
Author HeartOnSleeve Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Nexus....he's pretty incredible, I'm just curious if anyone else has made it work with a commitment phobe. Trust me I'm on the edge with him right now. It could go either direction at this point and I'm hoping it's the way I want...haha.
GG3 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 me. I've dated one for over 5 years. It isn't worth it. So much work and I feel too emotionally involved and stuck. Save yourself!!!

Anytime it starts to get really serious she pulls back. The past few weeks shes really pushed me away. I know if I start to pull back she'll come closer again, but its this constant came of cat and mouse. We can never seem to find a balance. Im starting to get on the fence about ending it. Relationships shouldnt be like this.
Author HeartOnSleeve Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Thank you GG3 and Grimsweeper! I have not read or heard anything good and just figured I'd ask on here Sounds like it's just too much work for what it should be unfortunately. It's been 7 months already and I care for him so much but this roller coaster ride is starting to feel like a never ending one. No one likes to be on the roller coaster too long if you know what mean! Grimsweeper...If/when you decide to end it, I'm just curious what you would say? How does your girl pull back? I think that might be where i'm a little stuck, on top of not wanting to be hurt, I really just don't know how to end something that doesn't feel like it ever really had a chance and that when we are together it's amazing...it's just the pulling back and as you said cat and mouse that I despise!
