maylis Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Breakups are abound in my neighborhood and now my best friend and her boyfriend just broke up. He can't explain why to her, do you think he is telling the truth or he just doesn't want to say why?
TheDovic Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 There's always some reason in my experience. Maybe he doesn't want to hurt her feelings OR maybe it is something personal to do with him that he is really embarrassed about! Alternatively maybe he's going through a "quarter life crisis" (I didn't make this up - look it up on Google, it's very common) and is feeling really unsure about certain aspects of his life and doesn't understand why. Hope this helps
Author maylis Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 It's like a lot of relationships in this country where he is younger and she is a bit older. Maybe he just doesn't want to say, I think it's unfair that people can do that! She is like losing her **** because she just wants to know. Thank you for your input
SillyS Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Tell her she is lucky, men trying to explain isn't always the best thing. They aren't the best at articulating themselves or acting like victims. The truth is, we rarely find out the real reason anyway from both sides. Breaking up is full of double meanings and politics are def involved as well. So tell your friend that she needs to focus on the act itself, that he ended it rather than the why behind it. Happened to me once, when I was 16. I was going out with this guy, and he basically said it's over and nothing else. I was a little confused and asked why, and he said, sometimes you just know its over. And after like 6 questions, he stood up and said "I just want to fling my penis around and be free"!
