OliveOyl Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I look young for my age, always have. At 50, I have practically no gray and don't dye my hair. Not really many wrinkles yet, either, although when I smile there are "smile lines". I know they both will come, though. I think it's more genetics than taking good care of myself.

When I tell them my true age the fall out of the chair. I usually don't say anything about it. Just go about my business. When I had to update my DL even the women who work then was saying wow your young for your age! I say yep!

I hate when women use all these tricks (distort the color, angle, lighting) to make themselves look more attractive and younger and usually to hide how unfit they are. Or men who wear hats to hide their bald heads. Or grow beards to hide a weak chin. Or wear bulky layers of clothing to hide a fat belly. If you are setting up a date, ask a woman to take a picture of herself in the mirror wearing what she will wear when you meet, "So I can recognize you." Or ask her to take a picture of herself at work "So I can picture you there when we're speaking" or some excuse. Mainly because I have long (dyed) hair (where I sit on it if I'm not careful) and until VERY recently, had no visible wrinkles on my face. I'm catching up though becuase I'm now developing moles on my face!! MOLES for crying out loud! Old people moles!! I went to a dermatologist because I developed acne in my 30's - worse than I had it in my teens and now she says that its common for women with 'adult acne' to develope these moles in their 'later years'. MOLES!!!! My mom always used to tell me that no matter how old her body got, mentally and emotionally she felt like a young girl approaching 20. I didn't get it then, but I sure do now. I feel so betrayed by my body because my mind is still so young and full of "pee and vinegar" as my mom would have said, but my arthritis is so bad I move slow and limp sometimes. (rhumatoid arthritis since I was in Jr. High) Moles.

Jeans and t shirts and boots most of the time. Sure I get carded for dumb stuff but they have to card anybody who doesn't look like an old ****. What bugs me is "are you really 27, I don't believe you. Put the beer back." while my friend next to me is laughing. When's the last time you saw somebody under 21 buying expensive microbrewery beer?

I have my father genes when he was my age he looked like he was in his 40s. I don't have any wrinkles around my eyes nor on my forehead or on my face. I had my own hair which keeps on growing and growing so fast. So hey have a baby fase and smooth like silk!
