whererusunlight Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 So my ex fiance took off on me two weeks ago. She took the kids with her. She got her financial aid and got a raise at work and blazed. Said she wasn't happy and that she needs to find happiness before getting married. :bunny:Sucks. It's weird coming home and being used to picking up my son after a long day to going to emptiness here. I'm used to taking the kids for walks, helping with homework, cooking, whatevers. Now I come home to nothing. I'm tired of sitting here on facebook, drinking beer, and watching football. This sucks. I thought I was over this crap ten years ago. There's only so many times I can bug my friends to cruise out. They're all married or have their serious relationships. Being here makes me dwell on the past. NOt only that but I"m BOOOOOrrrreeeed.
Author whererusunlight Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 right on. Thanks for the support guys.
TheDovic Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Hey dude, Have you tried speaking to her? Any idea why she broke up with you? Are you trying to put it right or are you ready to move on?
Author whererusunlight Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 she left because she said she has always felt unhappy in every relationship she's been in. She has depression. She also has never been independent. She said that she wants to learn to be independent and find happiness once and for all. She said she can't be in a relationship when she is not happy inside. She says all this but there are many signs that there is another guy in the picture. I pleaded and pleaded for her return but to no avail. We have decided to move on.
radiodarcy Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 i struggled with boredom for awhile myself. after awhile i just started finding other things to focus on. what are your interests? do you like to play sports or have any hobbies? there's always meetup.com they have listings for a lot of different events that you can join and meet other people. admittedly it's not my thing (i'm more of an introvert and my interests are more along the solitary like reading and watching old movies) but i know a lot of people who have tried it and liked it. if you miss spending time with the kids maybe there are after-school programs you can volunteer for like helping kids with their homework or coaching intramural sports.
