I have a basic verizon cell phone (not fancy , doesn't have a texting keyboard etc) well it keeps falling... here are some examples 1. I went out with a girl, it fell out of my pocket and onto wooden floor like 2 times during the date. 2. i'm in bed sleeping and i put the cell near my bed to turn it off when the alarm sound soff..so i grab it..then, i fall asleep again...somehow the cellphone ends on the bed..and somehow it falls down from the bed through the edge 3. Or I leave the cellphone in a high thing, and when i wake up with its alarm, I"m sleepy and still can't see well ..so i get up to turn it off, i'm clumsy and so it falls down to the carpet(but still, it's pretty high platform) That thing has fallen so many times, i thought today(numer 3) that it really broke and i was afraid cause i wouldn't be able to text my female friend or even for my general things i do(search for work/doctors/etc), It would be out of service. I"m guessing the phone is built kind of strong cause it hasn't died. but it could die....i'm afriad it will start not functioning and I may have a date next week so............and if the girl texts me or something she will think i'm ignoring her. I'm really not a phone guy, actualy this phone was given to me by my mother. she's the one that buys the cellphones for all the family members . so i don't really know about cellphones or how to buy them and how to buy the calling plans etc.
Author quietGuy13 Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 I just want to say that today in the morning(number 3) when it dropped down to the carpet...it was from a distance of about 4.x feet. It still works fine. but i dont know if it will die soon
Cee Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 "Cheaper" cell phones are more sturdy than smartphones. I dropped my Samsung more times than I can count. On concrete, not carpet. And it never broke. You can check voicemail from any phone so if your phone dies, check voicemail from another phone. Also, you can have a back up plan. You can dial phone numbers from Google voice and from Skype.
phineas Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 hit the dollar store, grab a "leather" case that fits it. You can clip it or the case will cause it to not slip out so easily from pockets.

Wel i'm charging the phone right now. I guess it's fine for now, it was defintely made strong.
