jrstar1860 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Not sure how to start this off but I see alot of people here saying even after 2 years they miss there ex or whatever. It's pretty crazy. My biggest tip to anyone that's just broken up with there ex or has been, it's okay to think about them, but don't creep/stalk them! Avoid places where they may be and DON'T look at the facebooks, tell you're friends to not talk about them also. I've been NC with my ex for 3-4 months now and we were together for 4 years so I know the feeling. I definetly miss her sometimes but it was there choice to leave..I don't dwell anymore, I get out as much as I can and try to keep busy or put on music that isn't depressing. Eventually you will get over it, it just takes time. And I really don't recommend jumping into a rebound relationship right away. Do you, figure out what it is that really made your relationship not work. Fix that. So the next person that comes along he/she will be the lucky one to recieve everything your ex didn't get! I hope this truly helps. If anyone needs someone to talk to I have aim, my screen name is Russwasherejr just send me a message! Thanks!
Dark Phoenix Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Good advice, I wish it was around when I came to LS in april.
Author jrstar1860 Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Thanks, I hear ya. Break ups aren't usually half as bad sometimes. But like me and probably most on here my break up was my first actual real "love" and i'm 25, so it kind of hit me harder than most. The biggest mindset that i've learned is not telling yourself that they will "be back" someday. That's what makes you feel the worst. Usually around that 2 month mark you should start feeling pretty normal the first 2-3 weeks I didn't eat but after that I started getting back into the normal routine of eating. Remember, life is what you make it guys. If you wanna sit and bring yourself down it's gonna do nothing for ya! You're gonna end up sitting there depressed until you get sick of it and just finally get up and start doing stuff. I hate to see people depressed so I hope all of this really does help.
