I turned on NPR this morning (and earlier... the BBC) and it is focused on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11.

Today, 10 years ago... people were sending their loved ones off to just another day at work.

Or boarding a plane.

Many of them to never be seen again. Something similar happened to me 5 years ago, but I was fortunate that I had the chance to tell him I loved him that morning. And I saved the voicemail of him telling me he loved me that same morning... saved it for nearly two years.

What is my point? Don't wait to tell or show someone you love them. You might not get another chance.

... and while we are busy 'becoming the person we want to attract'... we can choose to focus and remember those who showed so much courage and bravery on that day. These are the kind of people I'd like to emulate. Not the ones filled with hatred and plots of 'revenge'. The same analogy can be applied to one's dating life as well. We choose our own destiny and how we want to be remembered... in large part by the people we choose to emulate.

A very good friend of mine lost her sister that day. I'll never forget the grace she and her now husband exhibited at their wedding day... less than a month after her tragedy. Her brother in law and her nieces were there. The day was so filled with joy and love.

Wishing you all joy and love.
