ivalm Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Hello, I'm a guy doing OKC and I've been receiving some initiating messages (3 so far, been on for a week) and have been writing back to all of them. Unfortunately, all those girls are farther than 50 mi from me so I do not consider them real prospects (actually I feel bad, one of them I would have definitely gone out with had she been closer). It was pointed out to me that by writing back to everyone I make my reply status "replies often", and to distinguish myself from most other guys I should not reply to those I am not interested in and thus get "replies selectively"/"replied very selectively" status. Do you think it really matters? Would this be a good or a bad thing? I instinctively feel bad about not replying to well written messages, and all three I received so far were thought out.

Author ivalm Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 I dont think it matters, but I wouldnt respond to anyone Im not interested in and distance is one of those issues for me Any thoughts from girls? The reason I'm apprehensive about not writing back is that I myself prefer girls to tell me "no, thanks" rather than not reply at all..
Jaina19 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I used to use that site. I think the "replies often" status is actually a good thing and could work in your favor. Emails from women get ignored as well as men's on online dating sites, and with that status it means you're more likely to reply if a woman emails you. If I saw "replies selectively" I would be less inclined to email.
