Steven T Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 My ex emailed me via my YouTube account last night. She asked how I was and said she missed me. I replied telling her "I am good" and asked how she was. I guess I wanted to reply because she made the effort to send me a message and shows she still cares and thinks about me and maybe to give us another go. She hasnt replied... Back to square one. I never learn.
radiodarcy Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 don't be so down on yourself Steven, it happens. the first time i went NC the ex contacted me numerous times and i responded every single time until i broke NC for good; only to get hurt again. as someone said on another thread, sometimes we have to break NC to remind ourselves how important it is to stick to it. so let this be a reminder of that and carry one

I was doing so well.

I never learn. Was this in an email? If it was last night, is it possible that she hasn't had time to respond yet? Not that I am trying to get your hopes up... Don't be so hard on yourself, I would have done the same thing I still love my ex, even though he doesn't deserve it!

ConfusedT Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 i know you miss her, but dont think positive things about her and good for you for blocking her and changing your number. I DID TOO! Try to think crappy things about her and focus on the bad times until you heal & then, when feelings are not involved, reflect on the good times and appreciate them for what they were... I am trying to hate him, when i still love him, but for every positive, i make sure i think of two negatives!!
