maylis Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I was just dating a shy guy for the first time (all my other ex's are very loud / over confident guys) and I really liked it. He was opening up to me a little but then he got freaked out. He is not very experienced and lacks confidence and has only had a few girlfriends in the past, not lasting more than a few weeks (I found out after he broke up with me). He asked me to be his girlfriend after only two weeks (usually in the past for me it has been around 2 months after we started hanging out) so things maybe moved kind of fast. Anyway it was a lovely time with him, we were getting along so well. We are both from different countries and only know the others language limited so communication was quite funny sometimes. After about a month and a half I put on facebook that I was in a relationship, I didnt put I was in a relationship with him, it was no pressure for him to do the same. I just did it because I was feeling very happy and I wanted to share with my family/friends etc. I hadn't had a boyfriend for two and a half years because my last one was so awful and I was really messed up from that for awhile. Anyway he broke up with me 3 days later and said he was too scared to be in a relationship. Are there any shy boys or shy girls who have gone through a similar experience?
