Spices Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Why is it that some dumpers insist that you remain in their life & continue to contact you on a regular basis? Oh yes, and I've finally blocked his number.
SugarLily Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 My best friend is wonderfully insightful. . . His ex did the same thing to him - tried to keep him in her life. In retrospect he now believes that she did this to use him as an 'emotional crutch' to help her come to terms with the break up and 'get over him'. If a dumper is trying to keep in contact with you then you need to realise that this can only be for purely selfish purposes. Congratulations on blocking his number! NC is the only way to move forwards. I should also say that if he truly loved you, I don't think he would be putting you in this situation. If he had any respect for you - he should want you to move on with your life, without the interference of him. Don't make this easier for him. This is about you. Be selfish. He dumped you - trust me, it's his loss. Initiate NC and work on making yourself the person that you want to be. x x x
