A7X
I was wondering what people think of tarot card reading as a way of coping with what's happening in life. Maybe give you clarity on everything and a sense of guidance to a new beginning. Now I'm sure that most of you are skeptic about this and I wouldn't blame you either. From past experience, you take some and you leave some. If any of you have read my thread in the second chance section, you will see that I'm currently having a hard time dealing with my current situation. Love turn to heartbreak to hope and to ending in heartbreak once again. I've decided that I will be going to get my cards read. I've done it in the past when I was living a difficult situation in my life, and to be honest, it was the best thing I could have done. I left that place with my confidance back, a smile on my face and a better understanding of what happened in my past relationship. It's odd to say that something like this could change your mind about everything, however this person told me my life story for the past year or so and I had never met this person before. From that point on I was sold, she recorded our conversation I listened to it a few times. At first I was dissapointed that I didn't get answers to what I wanted, but later realised that she was telling me what I needed to hear not what I wanted to hear. So anyone ever try this? Consider it? Would never even think of it?
worlybear
Personally, I would steer clear of tarot cards as they can easily be mis-interpreted. Angel cards are more general but can give a "feelgood" feedback and that in itself is confidence-boosting. Do a bit of research if you decide to go ahead, there are a lot of charlatans out there! General rule of thumb- if they ask for money up front, or halfway through- forget it. People who are genuine don't need to do that. Take care. Hugs:bunny::bunny:
LelouchIsZero
Tarot cards, palm readings & etc, are all fake. If you feel that its going to help things, then there isn't particularly a reason why you shouldn't. Each to their own I guess.
CarrieT
I've been reading cards for over 40 years. It is way too easy to read into what you want them to say....

Author A7X
Well I went yesterday and I can honestly tell you I didn't hear what I wanted to hear. I however do feel that I did get some insite on my situation and has helped me take steps forward in healing myself. The lady I go see has been doing this for over 40 years and I'm sure she's seen it all and maybe you're right, but for me personally it helped.
Buttercup84
I like these things for fun , but do not take them seriously. When I was depressed a few years ago before I met my now ex , the lady said I would be married with children by 27 and living in a rural area.Oh and I would have a job in a hospital setting... I am 27 , single and livng at home in the city with my cat.No kids and I am working in a kindergarten... Funnily enough my ex wanted us to move to the country and have kids and get married. I also once went to this lady who said she could imagine Tom Cruise falling for me. I still have no idea what that means.
Author A7X
Thought I would share my experience. So I went last week and here is what she said and what I think of it. Speaking of my ex; All her qualities, etc... She is currently living life with her eyes closed, not realising what's around her, like she has a bag over her head. She is heading in the wrong direction in life and is going to get hurt. She is going to accept a proposition, accept it and end up regretting having taken these decisions. Alright so let's break it down. So living life with her eyes closed; possibly meaning she refuses to see the good in me and the amazing relationship she could have. Heading into a direction of what she thinks she wants in life yet it's right in front of her. Accepting a proposition; She accepted a fully paid vacation to Italy from a guy, that is a douchebag and only uses girls for one thing. It's his reputation, everybody knows it including her. Plus he has a STD, that she knows about. Regretting her decision; Well I think it's clear that she'll end up regretting having taken the decision to travel with this guy and basically get used for one thing and hopefully for her she won't have a ever lasting STD on her yahoo or mouth. So the first 2 parts basically came true, now to see if part 3 becomes reality.
Besmy
Dear A7X, I don't want to displease you but personally I don't really believe in tarots / cards. Sometimes I pay attention to dreams because it happened to me in the past that some of them were meaningful. As for your card reading, my humble opinion is that it can be interpreted in different ways as these are very generic statements that would probably apply to most of us. Just to give you an idea of what I mean by that, let's pretend that the reading was for me. currently living life with her eyes closed, not realising what's around her, like she has a bag over her head. = This could be that I should rather look at the beauty of nature and life around me instead of thinking introspectively about my problems. Going in the wrong direction = That could be meant in the sense of choosing the wrong job or meeting wrong people or whatever. Going to get hurt = That happens to all of us for one reason or another. Accepting a proposition = So let's see, I could accept the proposition of my friends to spend some days holiday with them. Again, very vague! end up regretting having taken these decisions = yes, at the end of those days away with my friends I might well realise that I would have had more fun doing something else, elsewhere, with somebody else or on my own. So dear, I don't want to discourage you, but you see, with some training and experience you could also learn to "read the future" as long as these statements are so very vague. If the card readers could really predict the future, they would be billionaires because they could predict the outcome of the lottery or horse races or you name it. We all know that it's hard overcoming a break up. I respect your idea of having the cards read if it makes you feel better. I really hope it does. A big hug.
Author A7X
I'm expecting people to not believe in this and I don't blame anyone for it. Yet this reading was not yours, it was not created for you so you can't take it and apply it to yourself. If I would of specified details about you, she would of told me about you. Card reading is not being a psychic, there is a difference IMO. Here's another example; I deal the cards and place them before they are read to me. Now when dealing the cards she said that if I drop one that I must leave it there. I did the best I could to not drop any and I still dropped one, it was the card that would explain why I was there, the card that fell, dissapointment, the exact reason I was there. So when she described my ex, she was bang on, I can't dissagree with that and you couldn't either if you were living my situation.
Besmy
Fair enough, you are right, I wasn't there and I cannot judge your experience. I didn't mean to upset you in any way. My apologies if I have.
c0nfuzd
you should try praying to your God, you'll get more relief there I was never religious but since I hit rock-bottom in my marriage, I gave it a shot and it has done me wonders try it but do it with 100% conviction, nothing to lose and only peace of mind to gain
