ConfusedT Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 i know this sounds ridiculous to some people, but i have always seen ladybugs as symbols of good luck! so as almost everyone on this bored knows, I have had a horrendous couple of months and i am slowly progressing to try to regain my self-worth and love that was destroyed from a toxic relationship and a multitude of other issues that all occured in the same time frame (murphys law, yippeeeeee) anyways... i am leaving my girlfriends house this evening and i get in the car and as i am driving off, i see a bug! that's strange because my car has been parked all day and my windows were not open enough to let any bug in... anyways, as i am trying to pick it up, i see its a ladybug! i have always been very superstitious of many things & ladybugs are one of them. i think its the littlest things that are the biggest things in reality and this little bug is a symbol of good fortune to me. i have been praying and praying and praying for a sign of anything, something to show me things will get better. & i feel that was it, i know many disagree, but to me, that little bug meant alot & i hope it holds true its positive energy and something good is coming my way... after everything i have been through (& all of you), we deserve something good to happen to us! * to put this in more context- i had jus left a viewing of an old friend who passed away unexpectedly and we read the rosary many times and i saw and realized just how short life can be and to not take anyone or anything forgranted because it can be taken from you... it put me in another state of mind i guess...
esteem-jam Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 About ladybug momentum: It happened this summer. I was sitting on a bench in town, resting and watching people. It turns you can find out alot just by observing- whos with whom and making spontaneous eye contact. So I was sitting there and I see a ladybug crawl on my shoulder. As I see it I smile and whisper "whoa, luckyness". When I turn my head I see one girl I liked from school. She was younger than me, like 3 years. But I have seen her some other times around the town and I know she has a son and (probably) married. Nevertheless shes very kind, I know this because she is friends with this girl who has skin problems, I have some too, so I value kindness, understanding a lot.
Ajax Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Sometimes it's good to see things as signs of positive changes, or just that someones up there pulling for you. For me it's Cardinals. My grandma loved Cardinals, she had pictures of them, collectible plates, and stuffed animals. A cardinal was also my college mascot. One gloomy November afternoon a few years ago I was in the dumps after having been shot down by a girl I really liked. I was staring out a window wishing there would be some sign that things would eventually work out for me. Then a Cardinal flew onto a branch right outside the window and just stared at me for a minute before flying away. I don't know that it was a sign or was sent there to give me hope, but it did lift my spirits. And that in itself was enough.
LelouchIsZero Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 In a way it is a bit silly, but things like that are good to have. It seemed to have put you in a good state of mind & is giving you a better outlook on the future, as you're a bit more hopeful for good things to happen. My mother is also a bit superstitious, in regards to ladybugs.
