madjac74 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Lol, you're probably right. Well I'm planning my next two, wonder what they'll think of that? Just put it on your boob they will never see it
Elysian Powder Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I love how he had to get in "the majority of AMERICAN female" lmao.. Probably one of those old guys dating a poor girl from Asia and thinking he's the hot **** .
Disenchantedly Yours Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I think tattoos are beautiful. I don't have any myself. I've seen some really beautiful ones on women. And I am really turned on by them when I see them on men. I do think people can go overboard with tattoos. I also think getting paw prints on your breasts or wings on your back is a little strange. I like the more artistic looking ones. Not a fan of cartoon characters either. BUT, that doesn't mean I think that person is smutty or not worth respect. It's one thing to not like tattoos. That's just a presonal preference. It's another to make erroneous comments about a person's character because of them.
sally4sara Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Lets see; does this post pass the discrimination test? replace the chosen gender with an ethnicity: I'm positive that I'm not alone on this but body art is great on white people simply because it shows character, edge, masculinity. When I see it on black people it emphasizes confusion, and lack of quality, with a promotion of tawdriness. Gone are those days where black people looked like black people should. Now I do realize that that this is not all black people as a whole, but nowadays, they definitely make up the majority of the American black people. And the thing about it is that when they reach middle age, these body inks are going to look disgusting on them. You black people cannot get away with this the way a white person can. Please understand that! Not at all. OP is a bigot. His target is women. Is this not the kind of thing teachers, comedians, and politicians have lost their social standing and livelihood over? Sir I think you're an ass, but I approve of your right to show how much of an ass you are in a public forum for everyone to see.

I doubt we will see any sort of intelligent rebuttal from this character.

joeyanna Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 You whore! hahaha Im totally joking!!!! Where are your next two going to be? I have a pitch fork on my hand but I'm a man so it's ok. Cheeky!!! I want the quote 'Who so loves, believes the impossible' - Elizabeth Barrett Browning somewhere and Quis hic locus? Quae regio? Quae mundi plaga? which is a quote from Seneca's Hercules Furens which means what world is this? what kingdom? what shores of what world? Not sure where they're gonna go yet though!
dasein Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I am thinking of getting the kanji symbols for "lower class, ignorant conformist" inked on my back, anyone know the proper symbols? or will just any tattoo do?

You should really put that on your vagina so a man has something to do with his eyes while he is down there. Haha sorry!
joeyanna Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 You should really put that on your vagina so a man has something to do with his eyes while he is down there. Haha sorry! No apologies necessary although I did nearly spit my cup of tea over my laptop (okay, I know it's a cliche but we British drink tea). What if he can't read the Latin quote though? hehe

Mme. Chaucer Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I have a tattoo, as I feel a strong need to validate myself. Does it depict My Little Pony?
Mme. Chaucer Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 A self portrait will suffice Bwahhahahah!
madjac74 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Does it depict My Little Pony? I bet it Sssssparkles!

Why is this kind of blatant bigotry (warning: I got suspended for calling a member a bigot for exactly the same type of post) acceptable in society, and is rampant all over this board, as long as the target of it is women?
Forever Learning Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I agree, it is really disturbing because besides looking hideous revolting and scummy, it reflects a total lack of impulse control. Worse yet this is a reflection of the consumerism mentalitiy spreading across the USA and the endless need for more, more, more to appease the bottomless pit of want and need to stroke the ego and prop up self image via decoration of the body. No differnt than big bulky gold chains or walking down the street with your two pit bulls to show off your worth to your neighbors via decorative vehicles of shock value. The intrinsic need for the attention of complete strangers is also deeply disturbing. But most of all, those damn tattoos are just ugly and immature. Hang it on a wall at home, not etched into your otherwise naturally beautiful skin. I want to add a footnote to my comment here, so it is not unbalanced and more representative of my full scope of feelings on the tattoo theme. I respect a person's right to get tattoos. I don't dislike a person because they have tattoos. I do try to assess each person individually based on the quality and content of their character rather than their outside appearance. And I do have many friends with tattoos, some of whom had extensive tattoos. One friend is a tattoo artist. I respect their right to tattoo themselves from head to toe til the cows come home. For God's sakes just don't tattoo the cows too. And yes, I have seen some utterly beautiful tattoos that were absolute artwork of the highest order. And I understand the sentimentality factor some people have towards their tattoos. I get that. I still say hang it on a wall, not your body. And by and large I usually find tattoos to be ugly, tacky, trashy, stupid, immature, impulsive and conformist. Just my feelings. It's all good though. Especially tattoos with no intrinsic meaning to the person sporting it. Like the killer clown with a worm coming out of its eyeball. Or the very silly angel wings all over the back. Those scream 'immature, impulsive, short sighted and lost' to me. Ah well, just my 2 cents. What do I know. God bless all you tattood folks, I am glad you are happy. That's all that matters in the big picture. I still like you on the inside, even if your outsides looks silly to me.
joeyanna Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I bet it Sssssparkles! A tattoo that sparkles, now why didn't I think of that!
madjac74 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 For God's sakes just don't tattoo the cows too. And yes, I have seen some utterly beautiful tattoos that were absolute artwork of the highest order Tell me you laughed when you wrote that! Seriously!!!

Every single one of my tattoo's has specific meaning to me and what I'm going through at the time, I guess you could say its like a diary in pictures and I have designed them all myself. I don't feel I am conforming to anything, I'm me, pure and simple!
madjac74 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 You make Ls's uber disturbed troll crack up:lmao: good job! Am I a troll?
joeyanna Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Am I a troll? I wouldn't say that there was anything remotely troll like about you. You make me laugh out loud though which is all good!
