I don't know but it is a good idea to not be wasted in your photos.

One thing that really turns me off about profile pics is when women think they absolutely must post the ones where they're leaning between their friends in some nightclub, all of them half-crocked with bottles or glasses in their hands.

If I was going to date a woman like that, the first place I'd take her out to would be an AA meeting.

The equivalent turn off for me as a woman are the guys that post pics of themselves with other women in their profile. Maybe a Hooter's waitress, or with a group of trashy girls at a club, or just a plain old shot of him with some random woman. So many guys do this in their profiles and that's the biggest turn off ever!

I will actually talk to my computer screen out loud and say "you're a loser"- then delete his message...

I came across one recently that had a picture of him kissing on a woman's neck... and no, it was not a modeling picture. I thought it was pretty odd.

You never know if something's right for you or not unless you give it a try:lmao:

The male equivalent is a guy posing on a lake holding a fish.

Seriously, SOOOO many fishing photos. Is it some sort of subconscious idea from guys that it demonstrates they can use their rod and tackle?....

duckface is kind of hot, and fishing photo's rock.

So it goes both ways. Not surprised, really.

Disagreed on fishing photos - it's a hobby/passion like others. Might as well post some paintball pics, if you are a paintball nut. Or skydiving pics, if you are a skydiver nut.

When you go to upload a photo on Plenty of Fish the advice on the screen is: "Upload a picture of yourself smiling or doing something fun." So don't be surprised when they do just that!

If it tells you that the person isn't the sort of person you want to date then it was a useful photo (so I hope you aren't complaining).

Agreed....I actually saw a picture of a woman on a dating site, one of her photos was at a FORMAL , I think a cruise or something of her and a guy friend, they were dressed in evening wear.

And she has a caption, "Just me and a friend going to the Captains Table"

Some try to explain, "Don't worry, he's just a friend LOL"

So I guess these are guys they've friendzoned? lol I'd laugh if these "friends" saw them on a dating site, and then asked them out THROUGH that dating site.

I've browsed some online dating websites to see what's out there and I agree that I don't understand why women post photo's of themselves with a guy. The first thought that comes to mind when I see a guy in the photo is "boyfriend".

That might not be true of course, it could be her brother or a touchy feely gay fried, but that's not a guy's kneejerk reaction when they see a man with his arm around a woman.

I don't know what women are thinking when they post such photo's. It seems self-sabotaging.
