Disillusioned Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 One thing that really turns me off about profile pics is when women think they absolutely must post the ones where they're leaning between their friends in some nightclub, all of them half-crocked with bottles or glasses in their hands. If I was going to date a woman like that, the first place I'd take her out to would be an AA meeting.

How bout' the pics that show them hugging on their ex or some guy at the bar? But my personal favorite is the glamour shots they post. YUCK!! come on now..we want real, not photo shop I don't need to see them running marathons either. I've come across a lot of those recently

They probably use those same pictures on their facebook profiles to show theyre ex bf's, (that dumped them) how great life is without them. SO be wary, those might be rebounds.

You're probably right, and I steer clear of them. What makes it even worse is when they say they have some wonderful job with a 6-figure salary. Yeah right... so why are they puttering around with OLD when they could plunk down a few grand for a professional matchmaker? Are they "slumming it"? And how can they hold these dream jobs if they're out getting soused after hours? Fortunately some sites have fewer of these sort of profiles than others...

SEXY!! Hahahahaha!!! Can't say I've seen any of those yet, but some guy actually did upload a song to Youtube about girls making "duckface". The Cheshire-cat grin is something I find very annoying though...

LurkerXX Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Well, I think some of it is an attempt to respond to dating advice (show pictures of you being active!!), especially the 'woman in marathon' pics, but the drunken photos can only be pure stupidity-it is also common in dude profiles, but maybe that is just here in beerland.

If she wants to date someone with whom she has those things in common, it makes sense to have those pictures. She probably picked the one in which she (thinks) looks the best and her friends the worst, haha. I hate the pictures that are of an activity but the guy's face is covered up or he's far away, or it's a ton of group shots. Inquiring minds want to know which one are you and are you ugly?

The first thought that comes to mind when I see a guy in the photo is "boyfriend". That might not be true of course, it could be her brother or a touchy feely gay fried, but that's not a guy's kneejerk reaction when they see a man with his arm around a woman. I don't know what women are thinking when they post such photo's. It seems self-sabotaging.

If I was going to date a woman like that, the first place I'd take her out to would be an AA meeting. well, my facebook profile pic is one of me out at a bar with my two cousins who are also my best friends and the answer to why is simple, its the only picture I have of myself that is half decent. The rest are either pictures of my kids or pictures of me in large family gatherings. Not all that flattering or attractive. I figure its better than a cheesy self portrait. I think you need to know more about a person than one picture you don't know the back story of can tell. For the record, I don't go out drinking very often.

The only guy's in pictures with me are either, brother, other family member, or it is a group shot with a ton of people girls and guys. I hate when people post swimsuit shots lol! I really don't want to stare at people in bathing suits, especially girls, the best is when it is a bathing suit shot and they are in the bathroom!! YOU AREN'T EVEN NEAR A POOL!!
