Don't know if I should date this guy I just met/don't want history repeating.

Howdy all,

 

I remember this time when things were GREAT... I had an awesome male platonic friend (Josh). And we did everything together. He taught me how to shoot pool, we played tennis every weekend, kayaked, hiked, & swam. went to the coast. The mountains... He talked me into playing laser-tag. That was so hilarious. It was so AWESOME... oh, but then we dated, things eventually went kerplunk, lost my relationship of course.. Much worse?---Lost my outstanding friendship. It just changed so drastically.

 

Met a new guy this past month & things reminded me much of Josh.. This new guy (Chris), we are going to join a gym together. He's planning something nice for my fav upcoming holiday (Halloween...) So awesome. We're going to be silly and both dye our hair the same temporary funky color... We love all sorts of the same things. Shows -- will have a few marathons of TV shows when his schedule allows. I'm moving a country hour away & he said he'd help & be there as often as he can to keep me company..seeing as I won't know many people in that town at first.

 

I wasn't physically attracted to Josh, at first.. But absolutely loved his personality. And I feel much the same about this new guy, Chris. It's just so great. We talk all the time. I never feel any obligation, either. He's just the right amount of everything. Oh, wait...Except.. I'm not physically attracted to him. I definitely know he's into me. I know that we could date, but not sure if I should even start? Or Should I just keep the buddyship where it is? ...To this day, I still sorely miss the friendship I had with Josh. And I feel if I end up dating Chris it will collapse what we have like it did with the other guy. :{

What happen to Josh and you on the date? Can you shed some light on that subject. You know already your not really into this guy Chris like you were with Josh. Where is Josh now? Do you even talk with him? Did he move on with someone else? If not give Josh a call unless something was said to put him off?

My ex started out as my best friend and I have no regrets about going the relationship route with her. I have regrets about things that happened in the relationship and am currently left with a lot of pain in the matter, but going into a relationship seemed like the natural course for us.

 

I will say that I was attracted to her and her me, which is big.
